POSITION SUMMARY

The Financial Analyst - FP&A will assist with the analytical, reporting, and ad hoc project needs of our Specialty and Luxury divisions.  This role will partner with Finance, Sales, Account Management, Logistics, Distribution, Purchasing, IT, and other business units on a regular basis.
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist with the monthly reporting process, working closely with finance partners, operational business leaders, and account support teams to gather insights into customer business trends
  • Responsible for financial modeling in Excel by leveraging data and reporting capabilities of MS Dynamics, Oracle NetSuite, Pentaho, Yellowfin, and other custom tools in order to provide insights to help management make meaningful business decisions
  • Assist with the maintenance and continual improvement efforts for key reporting including customer key performance indicators, pro formas, sales and margin analysis, product/service mix, logistics and distribution analysis, etc.
  • Provide insightful commentary along with analysis and financial information for internal partners
  • Create additional ad hoc reporting and analysis to support the needs of the business
  • Assist with the annual budgeting process for specific customer accounts

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, or other related major
  • Financial Planning and Analysis experience, or other related analytical and reporting business capacity strongly desired
  • Knowledgeable and comfortable with financial statements, with clear understanding of the income statement
  • Exposure to financial software is highly desirable
  • Advanced Excel skills and comfortable data mining and creating/updating Excel models to use for both periodic and ad hoc analysis and reporting
  • Must possess a high degree of intellectual curiosity and have a strong desire to continue to learn and grow
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word
